Privacy Policy — Aircraft Intelligence

1. Scope

This policy covers Aircraft Intelligence: public N-number lookup, optional magic-link accounts, purchased reports, correction requests, and related analytics. Shop/owner maintenance workflows on app.stabilatorops.com are also covered by the site-wide privacy policy at stabilatorops.com/privacy.

2. Information we process

• Public aircraft registry data from the FAA releasable aircraft database (registration, serial, make/model, and publicly listed owner fields when not withheld).
• Observed flight positions derived from ADS-B sources (currently ADS-B.lol). These are observational, not pilot identity records.
• Safety records matched from public NTSB materials when confidently linked to an aircraft.
• Account & purchase data: email for magic-link sign-in, Stripe payment metadata, report entitlements.
• Operational telemetry: hashed IP for abuse controls, lookup events, and optional product analytics (PostHog) after consent where required.

3. How we use information

We use the above to render aircraft profiles, compute utilization metrics, fulfill paid reports, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and communicate about purchases or corrections. We do not sell personal contact lists. We do not claim ADS-B observations are a complete flight history.

4. LADD and owner privacy requests

FAA Limiting Aircraft Data Displayed (LADD) and similar programs may withhold certain registration display fields. When the registry marks owner information as withheld, Stabilator does not invent or surface a private owner name.

Aircraft owners or authorized representatives may request review of incorrect Stabilator-displayed information via the corrections form or email legal@stabilatorops.com. We may ask for proof of authority. Requests do not delete public FAA or NTSB source records; they govern how Stabilator presents derived views.

5. ADS-B.lol and ODbL

Flight observations ingested from ADS-B.lol are treated as open-data derived material under the Open Database License (ODbL) obligations that apply to that source. Stabilator keeps ADS-B derived tables separable, attributes the source on data sources, and does not claim exclusive ownership of the underlying observation database.

Counsel should review attribution, share-alike, and any commercial packaging of ODbL-derived extracts before wide redistribution of raw tracks.

6. Payments

Card processing is handled by Stripe. Stabilator stores entitlement and receipt metadata needed to deliver reports, not full card numbers.
